University
If you’re thinking about going to university, we’ll support you every step of the way.
Your Personal Advisor (PA) will help you to:
- explore different courses and universities
- visit universities and attend open days
- complete your UCAS application, including your personal statement
- apply for student finance
- find and apply for bursaries and scholarships
- find accommodation that meets your needs
Support while you’re at university
Once you start university, you will still have ongoing support.
- Your PA will stay in regular contact with you
- They can visit you every 6–8 weeks, wherever you are studying, if you would like this
- They will continue to support you with any financial or practical needs
You will also receive financial support to help you during your studies:
- Up to £5,000 per year towards your accommodation costs, depending on your needs
- A £1,000 bursary, paid across the duration of your university course
- A weekly living allowance, paid in place of claiming benefits
We want you to feel confident going to university and know that you’ll still have support in place while you’re there.
