Hazard
The product presents a risk of fire as the lithium-ion batteries can overheat whilst in use. This can lead to localised smoking, melting and/or a risk of fire.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users.
Owners are advised to stop using the product immediately and visit: Xiaomi Recall Page to register for a refund or replacement.
Xiaomi are contacting affected end customers to alert them to the risks.
