Product Description
An electric grass mower with removable lithium-ion batteries and charger
Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock because the charger failed electrical strength testing, indicating there is insufficient insulation between live parts and accessible parts. This could result in the accessible parts becoming live and the user receiving an electric shock. In addition, the insufficient insulation may cause the product to overheat, leading to a fire. There is also no evidence that the product has been assessed using relevant UK conformity assessment procedures as a valid Declaration of Conformity was not supplied. There is no valid technical documentation for the product, and the machinery is not marked with required information.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
