Who is this course for?
This course is for people who struggle with maths and would like to study core maths subjects in small group settings.
Entry requirements
- Aged 19+
- Have the right to live and work in the UK
- Reside in the DL or TS postcode area, or within commuting distance of Darlington
- You should have some basic maths skills, such as counting and multiplying and dividing
- You must sit an initial assessment before attending the course
What is the curriculum intent of this course?
The course will develop your skills in three basic core maths areas.
What will the course cover?
The course will cover three core topic areas:
- Whole numbers
- Fractions
- Decimals and percentages
What could I do when I have finished this course?
When you finish this course, you can progress to functional skills maths courses.
Where and when will I learn?
This course will take place every Thursday, 9.30am-11.30am at the Coleridge Centre, Skerne Park, Darlington, DL1 5AJ.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring:
- a notepad
- a pen (or a digital device) to take notes
- a file to store your work
