What is Multiply?
Multiply is a new three year government-funded programme to help adults improve their numeracy skills, build their confidence and gain a qualification.
Good numeracy skills may unlock job opportunities and lead to higher wages or prepare you for further study. They also help in everyday life, such as helping children with homework, budgeting money telling the time and travelling from A to B.
The Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) project is led by Hartlepool Borough Council but delivered by all five TVCA local authorities.
- Adults must be aged 19+
- Reside in Darlington or the Tees Valley area
- Have the right to live and work in the UK

What should I do next?
If you're a member of the general public and wish to access a Multiply course please get in touch with us.
I'm a voluntary or community organisation and would love to get involved...
Great! The Multiply Programme needs you. Organisations need to apply to take part. If successful, courses offered through Multiply at your venue for your clients results in your organisation receiving £120 per adult. The more adults who complete Multiply courses or activities, the more money you will receive. It really is that simple.
Organisations can opt to use Multiply course created by us here at Learning & Skills Darlington or they can create their own courses (as long as it hits government-set criteria).
If you are an organisation wanting to take part in Multiply please complete the application form by Wednesday 11th January 2023.
