After an ESOL course you can progress up the various ESOL levels before moving to a higher level Function Skills English course (Pre-Entry, Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3, Level 1 and Level 2). Exams

A requirement of ESOL courses (both classroom and online based) are to sit mandatory exams to achieve your qualification. Your exams will take place at L&S at The Coleridge Centre or L&S at Bennet House in Darlington. Under no circumstances can you sit your exam at home or at any other venue.

ESOL learners sit their exams with their tutor at a set time that suits both, there are no pre-determined set dates. Entry level learners carry out exams in an informal environment with appropriate support and Level 1 learners will sit a more formal exam.
