You can join a Functional Skills course at any time during the academic year (last enrolments will be taken in Spring 2020). The length of the course varies according to the personal needs of each learner. Before attending the course every learner needs to complete an initial and diagnostic assessment to check existing level.

All functional skills classes are free of charge providing you meet the following criteria:

  • Are aged 19 years or above;
  • Have been a UK, EU or EEA resident continuously for the previous three years;
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK, EU or EEA
    If you do not meet any one of the three criteria listed, each level you study will be charged at £135.

Initial and diagnostic assessments are held at The Coleridge Centre, every Friday between 1pm - 3pm (term time only excluding bank holidays).

Please phone 01325 405601, phone or text 07932 869325 or email l&[email protected] to make an appointment for an assessment.
