In Darlington early years providers, schools and colleges work together to promote good transition practice for all children and young people. The partnership recognises that as children and young people progress, well managed transitions between education settings are a priority.
Transition between education settings are important milestones in the lives of children and families. Research indicates that ensuring the smoothest possible start for children in education requires focus on both pastoral and academic needs.
