What is a Strategic Housing Market Assessment (SHMA)?
A SHMA identifies the scale and range of housing required over the course of the Local Plan.
We have a statutory duty to undertake a SHMA.

The 2015 SHMA consists of two parts.
Part 1 is the Objective Assessment of Need, including affordable housing needs.
Part 2 provides an assessment of the need for housing of specific types to meet particular needs.
