Bringing the community together in Skerne Park!
A big thank you to everyone who joined us and North Star Housing at Skerne Park Community Centre in August for a fantastic day of advice, support, and family fun.
From free food to face painting and balloon making to housing advice and community safety chats with the Police, it was great to see so many residents getting involved.
We loved hearing your feedback — and we’re already planning more events across the town
Branksome Hall Drive Fundraiser for St Teresa’s Hospice
In August Branksome Hall Drive Fundraiser raised an astonishing £1000.00 for St Teresa's hospice. During the day tenants took part in a bottle store, big tombola and a raffle with refreshments including burgers, sausages, coffee and cake. A big thank you to all the fantastic volunteers which made the day a success, the tenants presented a cheque to Amy from St Teresa's.
Tenants trip to Whitby
Tenants from Rockwell House, Ted Fletcher Court, and Oban Court had an amazing trip to Whitby in August. They all had an amazing day and could not have asked for better weather! Tenants took part in Bus Bingo, ate Fish and Chips, Retail Therapy, Local Pub Visit, overall making memories with each other.
Partnership working with Places for People at Whinfield
Sophie (Housing Officer) and Sara (Tenant Involvement Officer) attended the Places for People community fun day at Whinfield during August. It was lovely to speak with a number of tenants and share information with the services. Fran (Scheme Manager at Oban Court) and tenant Heather also popped over and enjoyed the cakes that were on offer.
