Together with Tenants November 2025
Talk Money Week – Thank You for Joining Us
In November, our Housing Services team attended Darlington Job Centre Plus as part of Talk Money Week. It was a great opportunity to meet with tenants and provide advice on housing requirements.
We were pleased to support residents with their questions and share helpful guidance to make housing options clearer and more accessible. Thank you to everyone who came along—we really enjoyed seeing you!
Community Bloom at Park Place – A Fresh Start for Spring!
Thanks to the incredible efforts of Swan Street resident and Tenants Panel Member Sylvia, and the support of our Tenant Involvement Team, a brand-new raised planter has been installed at Park Place!
The old wooden planters were broken and sat in a shady spot, but Sylvia’s vision—along with a successful community funding application—has completely transformed the area into a beautiful and inviting space.
This project was all about bringing residents together, encouraging community involvement, and boosting mental wellbeing.
Sylvia shared:
“Thank you so much to everyone at Darlington Borough Council. I and the rest of the community are happy with the completed project. Roll on spring when the flowers will be in full bloom!”
Beauty Students Bring Pampering to Windsor Court
In November residents of Windsor Court enjoyed a special visit from Darlington College Level 2 Beauty Students.
During their time on site, the students offered free nail painting, and many of the ladies loved their pamper session!
This initiative was designed to give students the opportunity to work outside the college environment, enhance their practical skills in a mobile setting, and gain experience working with people with different needs.
A big thank you to the students for bringing smiles and a touch of glamour to Windsor Court!
