Together with Tenants October 2025
Housing Services and Skerne Park Academy Litter Pick
It was great to be out and about in October helping to keep Skerne Park clean and tidy!
Housing Officer Donna and Tenant Involvement Officer Sara were joined by the enthusiastic Eco Warriors from Skerne Park Academy for a community litter pick. Together, they collected an impressive six bags of rubbish—a brilliant effort by all involved.
The pupils showed great enthusiasm and are already looking forward to doing it again in the new year.
Well done to the Eco Warriors for making a difference in their community!
Housing Services and Red Hall Primary School Join Forces for a Community Litter Pick
On a crisp autumn afternoon, the Red Hall Estate saw a wonderful display of community spirit as pupils from Red Hall Primary School teamed up with Housing Services for a litter pick as part of the Big Autumn Clean Up.
Led by Housing Officer Ryan and Tenant Involvement Officer Sara, the group was joined by Councillor Mandy Porter and Pippa Darlington’s Park Ranger, creating a strong partnership between local services and young residents.
Together, the team collected an impressive 15 bags of rubbish, helping to make the estate cleaner and more welcoming for everyone. The pupils showed great enthusiasm and teamwork, and their commitment to the environment was truly inspiring.
The event not only helped tidy the area but also encouraged civic pride and environmental awareness among the children. Many of them expressed excitement about doing it all again in the new year — a testament to the success of the initiative.
A huge well done to the pupils of Red Hall Primary School for their fantastic effort and to everyone who took part in making a difference in the community!
Litter Picking in Lascelles: A Community Effort
The local community came together for a successful litter pick in the Lascelles area, led by Housing Officer Amanda and Tenant Involvement Officer Matthew. They were joined by Park Ranger Pippa and enthusiastic students from St Johns Academy, all eager to make a positive impact on their environment.
The pupils showed great energy and commitment, helping to clear litter from the local area and learning about the importance of caring for their surroundings. Their efforts were a fantastic contribution to keeping Lascelles clean and green.
To celebrate their hard work, the children were treated to biscuits and hot chocolate at Rosemary Court, a well-deserved reward for their dedication and teamwork.
A big thank you to everyone involved — especially the pupils of St Johns Academy — for making a real difference in the community!
Cockerton and Branksome Family Fun Day
A big thank you to everyone who joined us at Cockerton Club in October for our Family Fun Day, hosted in partnership with North Star Housing!
The event was full of smiles, laughter, and plenty of fun — especially for the children, who enjoyed a range of activities and entertainment. It was wonderful to see families from Cockerton and Branksome coming together to celebrate and connect.
Our team was on hand throughout the day to provide information, answer questions, and support residents. We hope everyone found the event both enjoyable and helpful.
Keep your eyes peeled for more community events coming up over the next few months — we can’t wait to see you again!
