Why you became an Engagement Ambassador?: Having been involved in something similar in a previous organisation, I feel it’s really beneficial for employees to be able to provide honest feedback on how things currently work and how they can be improved. It helps you connect with different teams within the council too, and gain a better understanding of how things work.

Why you became an Engagement Ambassador? I like the idea of different staffing layers working together to remove barriers/ perceived barriers. I believe the engagement group places value on; peoples contributions , giving people a place, forum or a voice to be heard and make a difference. HR/ SLT’s are keen to promote a; positive , healthy and respectful work place and I want to support that . I would like to encourage others, support others to have their contributions, thoughts, opinions and feelings shared. I believe communication is key and that the best decisions can be made by collaboration and working relationally. I believe there is a lot of talent / skill and want to see as much of this being used as possible and when people feel valued/ are affirmed they perform better. I like working within this organisations and think it is important for the organisation to do what it can to retain and develop staff.
