How to achieve the Bronze Food for Life Partnership Award

For those schools who we currently provide school meals to, as part of the Healthy Darlington School Meals Service, we can also offer support in meeting the Food for Life Criteria required for the Bronze Award.  See below an example of a Healthy Darlington Roadshow that can be delivered in your school. 

Sample of a Healthy Darlington Roadshow

Time Activity Description
10.30am to 10.45am  Assembly  Whole school assembly led by the Healthy Darlington Team.
11.00am to 12noon  Eat Well Motivator Workshop  Workshop with lunchtime supervisors on techniques for encouraging a positive dining hall environment.
12 midday to 1.00pm  Eat Well Motivator Demonstrations   Demonstrations of the techniques for encouraging a positive dining hall environment
1.30pm to 2.30pm  Move More / Eat Well Activities     Children will take part in a carousel of fun move more activities that also contain healthy messages within them.  
2.45pm to 3.30pm  Menu Tasting and Parents Consultation   Parents invited to taste some options on the school meals menu with an opportunity to give feedback.
