Town centre strategy and town centre masterplan

The Local Plan identifies the town centre fringe as a priority for development and regeneration.

Town Centre Fringe Masterplan

Development and regeneration of the Town Centre Fringe will be promoted throughout the Local Plan period (policy TC6) with the aim of delivering a range of mixed use development and environmental improvements.  In order to assist with this the council adopted the Town centre fringe masterplan [pdf document] in April 2013.

The Council adopted the Darlington town centre regeneration strategy [pdf document] in December 2012.
