Planning fees and admin charges

Planning fees are required for most applications.  The charges are set by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. The fee payable differs however depending on the nature and type of application.

Your application will not be progressed until the correct fee has been paid.  If you believe your application qualifies for a fee exemption, please state your reasons in a separate written statement.

These fees are subject to annual indexation, and every year, planning fees will be increased by the rate of inflation, as measured by the Consumer Prices Index (CPI), from the preceding September.
