I am responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction across a wide and diverse range of education and inclusion functions. These include Early Years, mainstream primary and secondary education, SEND, post‑16 education, school admissions and home‑to‑school transport. These services work together to support children, young people, families and schools across the whole council, and I like to think they are central to ensuring every learner has the opportunity to thrive.

My role also includes leading the council’s statutory duties in education, acting as the lead officer to ensure we meet all legislative requirements and deliver high‑quality, inclusive education for our communities.
