I provide strategic leadership and direction across a wide range of frontline services that shape people’s everyday experience of the borough. The service areas I am responsible for include: highways and transport, culture and heritage,  leisure services, environmental services and community safety. I also oversee the management and maintenance of the Councils Buildings and our capital projects and construction programmes, delivering a wide range of project including, regeneration projects, affordable homes projects, transport projects and investment in our buildings.

Ensuring the Borough is an attractive place to live, do business and enjoy is central to my responsibilities. The teams work hard to ensure conditions are right to attract new investment — from good connectivity, well maintained safe places to strong culture, leisure and green spaces.
