Durham Cricket Foundation's visually impaired cricket team
Visually impaired cricket is a specially adapted version of the game and open to anyone who is registered blind, or partially sighted. They play with a size three football, filled with carbon balls that make a sound when the ball bounces or is struck by the bat, larger stumps, and amendments to the rules. Durham Cricket Foundation’s team train all year round and are always open to new players, who qualify. Sessions are free and led by professional coaches.
