Transport investment in Darlington

Darlington is benefiting from investment, through the:

• City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS)
• Transport for City Regions (TCR) programmes
• which now form part of the consolidated Mayoral Transport Fund (MTF).

This government funding support improvements to our Tees Valley transport infrastructure for:

• walking
• cycling
• bus
• rail
• highways

It will help create a safer, healthier and more sustainable transport network.

The funding will improve:

• connectivity;
• support economic growth and make it easier for:
• residents;
• businesses; and
• visitors to travel across Darlington and the wider region.

The schemes listed below are either under construction or:

• are currently being developed; and
• are at a stage where we are seeking feedback from residents and stakeholders to help shape the design of the proposals.
