Migrating your account to the new My Darlington+
On Monday 2 July 2018 My Darlington+ will be getting an update. This is mainly background work so we can rollout some new features later this year and some minor cosmetic changes. However the first time you login after this update you will be asked to change your password. - If you currently have a username to login this will no longer work and you will need to use the email address that is registered to your account. The instructions below will guide you through how to migrate you existing account.
Go to https://www.darlington.gov.uk/my-darlington/ and use your email address and existing password to login.
The system will detect that you're trying to log into an account from the old MD+. Enter your email address and and click on the 'Reset my Password' button.
If you've entered an email address associated with a My Darlington+ account you will get a message like the below.
Go to your email (check the junk folder if its not in your main inbox) and click on the green 'Reset your password' button in the email. Make a note of the 4 digit code, you'll need this in the next step.
On the 'Enter your validation code' page, enter the 4 digit number that was in the email we sent you you into the box and press the 'Validate my code' button.
Enter your new password and confirm it. Remember for your password to be valid it needs, 1 capital letter, 1 number, 1 special character and must be at least 6 characters long.
You should now get a message saying your password has been successfully changed. Use your email address and new password to login.
