The restart scheme is the next step as businesses prepare to welcome back customers.”
Non-essential retail, hospitality, leisure, personal care, gym and accommodation businesses can apply for the grant.
Mr Perkin continued: “This scheme offers a one-off grant of up to £6,000 for non-essential retail premises, and another of up to £18,000 for hospitality, accommodation , leisure, personal care and gym premises.
“The amount of grant funding awarded is based on the rateable value and the type of business applying.
“We are committed to doing everything we can to help businesses bounce back from Covid. We will process applications and issue grants as quickly as possible.”
