Afghanistan crisis: Darlington will play its part

Darlington will play its part in supporting the resettlement of people affected by the situation in Afghanistan.

Councillor Jonathan Dulston, Deputy Leader of Darlington Borough Council, said: “Like many others, we continue to follow closely the developing situation in Afghanistan. Darlington will play its part in supporting those affected by this humanitarian crisis.

“We are awaiting more information from Government on the Afghan citizens’ resettlement scheme, at which point we will be in a position to provide further details on the package of support we can provide.”
