In the product packaging there are four wood screws and two security screws. the wood screws are used to affix the mounting bracket to your door or wall. Once the device is installed, use the star-shaped end of the screwdriver bit to tighten the security screws into the bottom of the Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Generation) faceplate to help deter theft.

If the doorbell is installed correctly, with the proper screws provided, there is no risk to consumers or potential hazard present.
