Product description
Black 16 bay round battery charger with the brand Bonai printed in the middle. The product is supplied in brown cardboard packaging.
Hazard
The product presents a risk of burns as the flexible lead had not been correctly fitted with a standard plug. When tested, it was found that the lengths of the live and neutral pins were too short. The fuse also did not comply with BS 1362, and the sample had not been accompanied by adequate instructions and safety information in a language easily understood by consumers and other end users.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
Import rejected at the border and the product has been destroyed. The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
