Specialist Sexual Health Services including Sexually Transmitted Infections

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) (also sometimes referred to as sexually transmitted diseases STDs) have a variety of symptoms some of which can lead to being seriously ill. Using a condom is the best way of avoiding an STI/STD and passing it on to other people. Most STIs can be cured and those that can’t can be managed with medication. The sooner an STI is diagnosed, the sooner treatment can be received. It’s also easier to treat a new infection than an older one.

Find out more about STIs, symptoms and treatment see NHS Choices [external link]
