Limited spaces left for Darlington’s sustainability event

Limited spaces left for Darlington’s sustainability event
21 April 2023

With Earth Day on the horizon (Saturday 22 April) our events and business teams are sending out a timely reminder to sustainable and eco-friendly companies and organisations to get involved in the new Darlington Sustainability event taking place on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 June, 10am-3pm.

A wide range of businesses have already signed up to the two-day event that will see a range of stalls, exhibitions and interactive activities, all with a sustainability theme. These include local garages, Acorn Dairy, Sustrans, The Woodland Trust, Stroodles - Eco Tableware, and many more.

The event will offer a unique opportunity for businesses to help showcase their sustainable practises, products and services and how they are working towards being more sustainable and, in some cases, carbon neutral by reducing waste and energy usage.

Local food producers and makers are also encouraged to take space at the event aimed both at the public and at businesses who are keen to find out more about living and working in a more sustainable way.

Not for profit organisations, nature groups, local community groups as well as sustainable arts and crafts will all be encouraged to take part hosting exhibitions and demonstrations.

There will be an option of indoor space in Central Hall (Dolphin Centre) and outdoor space on producer/maker stalls in the market square.

Stands are priced from £40 for two days and an expression of interest form, along with details of pricing, sponsorship and other options, can be found at:  https://lnkd.in/d-YAw4yW or by emailing [email protected]

More details of the council’s work to become carbon neutral and how people and businesses can get involved can be found at:
