Enjoy free family events this summer

Get ready for a summer of free fun with family films, crafts and live music on offer in the town centre.

Alongside our special events during the school holidays, we are also hosting Tracks Tuesdays, craft activities on Wednesdays and Film Fridays.

All the events will take place in the Market Place and will bring people of all ages together for some free fun!

Tracks Tuesdays, organised with Tracks Darlington, will see live acoustic performances on the stage in the town centre and Film Friday, sponsored by Darlington College, will include screenings of family favourites including Frozen, Mamma Mia and Hairspray in the Market Place.

Every Wednesday there will be free children’s craft sessions to keep the little ones entertained.

Alex Nicholson, town centre partnership and events manager, said: “Alongside our big annual events, Darlington by the sea, Pride and the 10k road race, these extra free activities will provide something different for the whole family.

“I hope people will come together with family and friends to enjoy everything Darlington has to offer this summer – it’s a packed programme of free summer fun!”
