Come and see the history of the water supply in darlington. The plan is to run all of the old steam machinery including the Victorian beam engine, boiler and possibly the gas engine if the repairs have been completed. The electric pumps installed in 1926 will be on static display. A blacksmith will also be in the smithy. There will be a display of model steam engines and hopefully full size traction engines on the saturday 7th october. On sunday 8th there will also be a display of vintage vehicles including cars, motor cycles, fire engines, stationary engines and other intersting items. The miniature railway should also be available to ride (small extra cost). Come along and help us celebrate this final open weekend of this year. Further events are already planned for 2018. The café will be open for snacks.
