Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock due to its poor mechanical strength and inadequate creepage distances. When impact tests were performed, the plastic casing broke open giving users access to live parts. As the product has a creepage distance of 0 mm, if a user were to touch the accessible live parts, they could receive an electric shock. There was no user manual or instructions provided with the product and the CE marking was under the required size of 5 mm. The product was also missing some of the required documentation and markings.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Wish). We recommend owners stop using this product immediately. Contact the distributor you purchased from to request redress.
