Hazard
The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the product is fitted with a euro plug and the travel plug adaptor was of a poor quality. The transformer was also of a poor build quality because it does not meet the minimum requirements for creepage and clearance distances required by the standard. This potentially presents a hazard of fire / explosion due to arcing.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The product has been destroyed at the border.
The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
