Product description
Plastic LED fairy lights chain with transformer and separate 3-pin power adaptor, supplied in transparent plastic packaging with a red Christmas-themed trim.
Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the plastic control enclosure has insufficient mechanical strength, exposing live parts. If a user touches the live part, they will receive an electric shock.
The product also requires improvement to marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The authority is requiring the recall of the product from end users.
The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Fruugo).
