Product description
Anthropomorphic table lamp styled to be made out of pipes, supplied with a light bulb.
Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as accessible metal parts were separated from live parts only by basic insulation, meaning the lamp would become live under fault conditions. The supply cord's cross-sectional area was also insufficient and there was no bush provided at the point of entry for the supply cord or means of anchoring.
The product also requires improvement to marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
