Black heat lamp
Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of fire and electric shock as the fuse holder in the plug was damaged and the fuse had been fitted incorrectly. The fuse was only touching the damaged terminal meaning there is not a reliable connection and could cause arcing and/or a different higher breaking current to that stated on the fuse. The product was also not supplied with instructions to give information and required safety warnings for the precautions to be taken and safe use of the product.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
Removal of the listing by the online marketplace (Amazon).
We recommend owners stop using this product immediately. Contact the distributor you purchased from to request redress.
