Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the earthing arrangement was considered inadequate as the earthing terminal had not been locked against accidental loosening. Under fault conditions, the product could become live and the user receive an electric shock when touching accessible metal parts.
The instructions supplied with the product were also considered to be inadequate as they did not contain sufficient information to ensure the correct and safe use of the equipment.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
The listings have been removed by the online marketplaces (Amazon and eBay).
