Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of fire as it is inadequately earthed, with no granular filler in the product's fuse. Under fault conditions, the protective earthing mechanisms may not activate and the product may overheat and ignite. Additionally, the design of the product allows access to live metal parts, which would give the user an electric shock.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
