The Northgate Conservation Area is an important part of the Stockton and Darlington Railway Heritage Action Zone. It includes a number of significant historic buildings and also connects the town centre with the proposed Rail Heritage Quarter (currently the Head of Steam Museum site).
We want to develop proposals to create an attractive environment to connect the town centre and the Railway Heritage Quarter HQ using both existing and new riverside routes, whilst enhancing the wonderful heritage along the way.
We have created draft proposal ideas [pdf document] to generate discussion and create options. We want your views on these proposals and need your help to identify residents’ attitudes, expectations, aspirations and opportunities for the Northgate area.
We’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas, so please feel free to email [email protected]
