Private waste collection companies
If you decide to pay someone to take your waste away please remember to check if the company has a waste carrier licence, and ask for a waste transfer note.
The Environment Agency issues these licences.
Check if a company has a licence using the online register [external link].
Your waste is your responsibility.
If your waste is dumped in a field or alleyway you could be fined along with the company you paid to remove it.
