MTFP consultation

The council has proposed a Medium Term Financial Plan (MTFP) for 2022/23 to 2025/26. This includes setting a budget and council tax increase for 2022/23.

The plan sees revenue investment of over £100m per annum in 2022/23, two thirds of which will fund adult and children’s social care,  with the remaining being invested in Darlington’s environment, community safety, highways, concessionary fares, waste management and our cultural and leisure facilities.

It is proposed to have a 1.99 per cent council tax increase for 2022/23 to help fund the increasing costs of these services, along with a 1 per cent precept to help fund adult social care.

More information is available here.

Printed copies of the consultation proposals are also available at Darlington Libraries at Crown Street and Cockerton.
