Council Tax Support

We would advise any residents experiencing financial difficulty to complete an application for Council Tax Support.

Otherwise, you can either phone us or complete an online enquiry form if you are worried about paying their Council Tax. 

Council Tax Support provides help for people on low incomes with their Council Tax bill.

The main feature of Darlington’s scheme is that working aged people can only receive a maximum of 80% support towards their Council Tax bill. Pensioners can receive up to 100% support.

The Council Tax Support scheme for 2024/25 has been approved by the council.

Your Council Tax bill will tell you how much you have to pay - we will work this out for you.
