The town’s Remembrance Day service this year will be held on Sunday 13 November.

There will be a service in Holy Trinity Church, Woodland Road, starting at 10am, led by the Rev James Harvey.

The service will be followed by a procession from the church to the Cenotaph in the grounds of Darlington Memorial Hospital. An act of remembrance will be held, including the Last Post, two minutes silence and the laying of wreaths.

The church service will also include a dedication of new Standards for The Royal Signals Association – Darlington Branch and the Darlington Branch of the Royal Navy Association.

The Mayor Cllr Anne-Marie Curry will also lead a minutes silence on High Row at 11.00am on Friday 11 November.

This event is not run by Darlington Borough Council.
