Help for businesses on road to Net Zero
If you're a local business keen to find out more about how you can tackle climate chnage then why not come along to the free networking and information event. It could open the doors to extra help and funding to tackle climate change.
The event will take the place of the usual monthly meeting of Darlington Business Club will be jointly hosted with Darlington Employers Environmental Partnership (DEEP). It will take place at Hopetown Darlington at 5pm on Wednesday 2 October.
Attending the event will be representatives from DEEP, and Darlington Business Club and also Decerna. They deliver the Tees Valley Net Zero programme, which offers a range of support, including fully funded support and up to £2,000 in grant funding. To help businesses develop and implement a Net Zero strategy.
DEEP acts as a local champion for the business community to support achieving carbon reductions and the pathway to net zero. Every business in the UK is encouraged to take practical steps, no matter how small, to reduce their environmental impact. DEEP will show you how businesses can work together to support these important goals.
The event will also give companies the chance to sign up to the DEEP pledge which includes:
1. Make sustainability a priority and aim to have a positive impact on the environment and society.
2. Take action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
3. Set or, work toward setting a target to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions and reporting on our progress.
