Tractor Tuesday returns to the town centre

Get up close to some great machines this half term as Tractor Tuesday returns to the town centre.
Following a successful event last year, Tractor Tuesday, sponsored by Lloyd Ltd, returns to the Market Square on Tuesday 27 May.
New Holland tractors, construction machinery and smaller agricultural equipment will be arriving in the town from 11am and will be available to explore until around 3pm.
This family friendly event will give people of all ages the chance to see some seriously big machinery and climb in the driver’s seat to learn how they are operated. Ride-on pedal tractors will also be available so younger fans can put their newfound skills to the test, as well as play equipment and colouring-in activities.
David Greedy, dealer principal at Lloyd Ltd Bishop Auckland, said: “We are delighted to be supporting this event once again and giving people of all ages the chance to find out more about the machinery and technology which supports UK farmers. Events like Tractor Tuesday help to engage our local communities with the vital work this equipment does.”
Chris McEwan, cabinet member for economy, said: “I’d like to say thank Lloyd Ltd. for their support in making this event happen again. It is always a really popular event and helps to promote agriculture, which is so important to our local economy. It is a vital industry, and I hope Tractor Tuesday can inspire some of the farmers and tradespeople of the future.”
