Social workers in a spin for charity

Intrepid staff from the adult social care team are completing a unique triathlon challenge for charity.

The team has set themselves three fitness challenges over three months to raise money for St Teresa’s Hospice.

Team members will be attending a spinning class at the Dolphin Centre in June, swimming 100 lengths in July and hiking over the Cleveland Hills in August.

Sharon Gilligan who has organised the challenge said: “As a team we have decide to support our local hospice St Teresa’s who support people in Darlington with life limiting illness as well as their family and carers.

“We often work very closely with St Teresa’s and have seen firsthand the impact their work has. We are looking forward to taking on these challenges together and we hope we can o raise as much money as possible.”
