Staff bring a bit of Christmas cheer to families in need
04 December 2017

Staff at Darlington Council have been thanked for their generous donations to Darlington Cares’ annual Christmas appeal.

Christmas came early to the Town Hall today as the donations from staff were collected by the Salvation Army and the Kings Church.
They will sort and distribute them to the families in need across Darlington in time for Christmas Day.

Chelsea Johnson, Darlington Cares programme manager, said: “We are delighted with the number of donations from Darlington Council. People have been so generous and these donations will make such a difference to so many families. The aim of the appeal is that no child will wake up without a present on Christmas morning and these donations will really help.

“We have also been collecting donations from businesses across Darlington and we are grateful to everyone who has helped."
