An egg-cellent time to recycle!
Chocolate lovers are being encouraged to recycle their Easter egg boxes this year.
As thousands of you enjoy chocolate treats over the Easter weekend, we are asking you to make sure you recycle right and put the packaging in the right bin.
Cardboard Easter egg boxes can be recycled if all plastic and other packaging is removed.
The foil and other packaging should be thrown away with your general household waste. It will then be taken to our recycling plant and treated.
Recycling and refuse collections will remain the same over the Easter break with collections on Good Friday as normal – if you’re not sure when your collection is visit www.darlington.gov.uk/streetscene to find out.
