Date set for Darlington’s first ever Restaurant Week
08 February 2019

FOOD lovers are in for a tasty treat as Darlington’s first ever #LoveDarlo Restaurant Week gets underway from Monday 25 February until Sunday 3 March.

Almost thirty town centre eateries have come on board to offer a range of savings including two courses for £10 or less. Discount diners can chose from Chinese, Indian, pub food, café selections and much more as the list continues to grow.

Alongside special offers, a series of food themed competitions will tempt online food fans to take part through the #LoveDarlo Facebook page.

Councillor Chris McEwan, Darlington Borough Council’s cabinet member for Economy and Regeneration, said:

“Our town centre partnerships and events team has pulled out all the stops to organise this week. They have worked with lots of town centre food outlets to create some great deals to suit all tastes and pockets.

“Budgets are tight, especially at this time of year, and this is a fantastic way to enjoy the wide range of Darlington’s food venues without breaking the bank.”

Food fans can look forward to more town centre treats as the award-winning Darlington Food Festival returns to the town on Friday 3 May for The Bank Holiday weekend. Other town centre events include the popular Morris Dancing Festival on 13 April and a wide range of February half term and Easter themed events.
