Working as part of a small team, you will take a lead role in the delivery of an effective and efficient electoral registration and election service including dealing with all aspects of the organisation of elections, referenda and other polls, the production and monitoring of election Project Plans, Risk Assessments and strategies, undertaking reviews of polling arrangements, electoral, boundary and community governance reviews, and overseeing the electoral registration process throughout the year, including the arrangements for the Annual Canvass. You will also provide support to the Council's Democratic function, including the Scrutiny process and clerking School Admission Appeals.

You will have strong IT, listening and interpersonal skills, demonstrate good customer focus and good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team. You will have a positive attitude and a flexible, pro-active approach to your duties, including the ability to work outside of normal office hours, when required, in order to meet the statutory duties of the service.
