This event explores how you can impact the future of the world we live, work and play in.

Expect science, nature and craft activities, specialists with information stands and plenty of stalls selling environmentally friendly products.

Confirmed Exhibitors

  • Askews Candles hand make beeswax candles in the shape of antique and vintage bottles. Beeswax is a sustainable natural product with a very long, bright and clean burn. 
  • BBC Radio Tees will be bringing our buzzer game, which is locally made and some of our more sustainable merchandise like pens. 
  • Budget Seeds have a shop which is open seven days a week, from 8am until 4:30pm at John Dobbin Road, Darlington, DL1 1US which is just off Chesnut Street, with free parking. 
  • CPRE (formerly the Campaign to Preserve Rural England), is the countryside charity which works for a countryside that’s rich in nature, accessible to everyone, and responding to the climate emergency.
  • Darlington Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial co-operative dedicated to promoting ethical banking within the local community. By encouraging responsible budgeting and offering secure savings and borrowing options, we empower our members to achieve financial stability. Our commitment to recycling funds locally helps boost both our members' goals and the well-being of their communities. 
  • Darlington Disability Darlington Association on Disability is a Centre for Independent Living, led by disabled people, which exists to promote independence and choice.  DAD supports disabled people and carers through the provision of services, support and information and by tackling issues affecting disabled people both locally and nationally. 
  • Darlington Beekeepers Association is a registered charity which strives to, promote and improve the craft of beekeeping; provide education, training and support for its Members and to inform the wider public about the important role that the honeybee (Apis mellifera) plays in 
    our natural environment and to promote the protection of that environment.
  • Durham Wildlife Trust is a local conservation charity restoring wildlife and nature from the Tees to the Tyne. 
  • The Forest of Flowers project near York has created 100 acres of new woodland and wildflower meadows, with the sole aim to provide a thriving natural sanctuary for wildlife. To fundraise for our conservation work, we collect and sell wildflower seeds grown on-site, as well as wildflower plants and honey from our own beehives.
  • Fun Postcards From fun educational stories and activities for kids in postcard format, and paperback novels (a dystopian future trilogy, and three crime novels set in and around Durham) 
  • Groundwork In-home energy and money saving advice, ranging from help with suppliers to fitting small measures including low energy lighting, draughtproofing and reflective wall panels.
  • Helen Hardy Art is a textile artist living in North Yorkshire. She creates wildlife and landscape pictures through freemotion embroidery, wools and fabrics. 
  • The Jamporium sells home-made small-batch fruit preserves, marmalades, jellies, curds, cordials and chutneys. Made without preservatives and with most fruit and veg home-grown, donated, foraged or bought from local farms and markets. We also use up the 'sad' fruit that would otherwise go to landfill. Our focus is on small and local, using seasonal produce. We use no plastics. Our profits go to a charity which supports children in Meserani, Tanzania through their education. 
  • Just Desserts vegan cakes, pastries, traybakes, donuts and scones with a selection of gluten free products. 
  • Leah Sophie Designs is a sustainable slow fashion brand aiming to stop clothing from going to landfill and instead making them into something unique, new and high quality. We specialise in customisable women’s wear clothing that can be made to fit anyone.
  • LitterBug Crafts is a company dedicated to making beautiful things from the stuff that others throw away. At the Eco Fair this year we will be making wool drawings in a simple but very effective way. We are going to use up the many wool cones left in people's attics after the knitting machine craze lost momentum.  Suitable for young, old and very old children.
  • Little Shed Creationsproduce laser cut decorations, gifts and more mostly from MDF and Plywood but also now using re-claimed woods, offcuts and more sustainable materials. 
  • Must Forge, a small family-run business. We define ourselves as modern metalworkers, blending the best of traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge innovation. Our passion lies in the art of shaping raw scrap and new metal into exquisite pieces, utilising a diverse range of machinery, from anvils and forges to laser cutters and precision welders. 
  • Myriad Stained Glass make whimsical stained glass , fused glass jewellery and mosaics. With bright colour catching designs they bring happiness and light to all. 
  • Pasithea Star is your answer to a guilt free pamper and skin care routine. We handmake and sew everyday self care items such as: Shower Poufs, Face Wipes, Wash Mitts, Hair Wraps and so much more! 
  • Plantopia sell a range of indoor plants, pots and baskets for all homes.  We also sell a range of plant related gifts such as crochet hanging plants, plant misters, stickers, felted plants and much more. 
  • Pre-loved and Pretty to raise awareness and encourage people to buy local and environmentally friendly gifts that are already made and thereby have a low or zero carbon footprint. 
  • Pretty Wild Seeds are a family business based in Darlington who supply seeds and gardening products nationwide. 
  • Pure Nougat is handmade artisan nougat in a variety of flavours. All ingredients are sourced locally where possible. All products are gluten free, with no preservatives or additives. 
  • Respect SoapsWe offer hand crafted soaps and shampoos, made with the purest plant oils, botanicals and minerals. Gently cleansing formulations, plastic free to save the sea. 
  • RSPB is a charity for the conservation of birds and nature. We bring people together who love birds and other wildlife, and who want to take action to restore the health and diversity of the natural world. 
  • Suma Wholefoods is a worker-owned equal pay co-op, doing business sustainably and inspiring change for good. We’ll be focusing on our own brand Bodycare and household ranges at the show. 
  • The Tea Enthusiasts are a proudly independent family tea merchants who have been trading since 2004. Using only whole natural ingredients we create flavour sensations that support your goals and desires. We have over 200 varieties in our Durham warehouse and we are happy to offer personalised recommendations for you."
  • Tees River Trust is a charitable organisation, committed to improving and conserving the River Tees. Our work is varied and covers the whole of the catchment from Cross Fell to the North Sea.  Our ongoing projects are circumstantial depending on the financial availability. However, there are certain aims and objectives which we aim to focus on to improve the river and catchment area.
