Public Space Protection Orders
On 1st July 2025 the following Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO) came into place:
Boroughwide PSPO
Covering;
- Begging
- Household waste presentation
- Allowing a dog to stray

Town Centre PSPO
Covering;
- Persons who continue to drink alcohol in public places, which are not licensed premises, after they have been asked to stop.
- Persons who fail to surrender any alcohol in their possession in public places, which are not licenced premises, when asked to do so.
- Continuing to feed birds or pigeons after they have been asked to stop.
- Anti-social use of a skateboard, scooter, skates, bicycle, e-bike ore-scooter causing damage to property and/or nuisance or annoyance to other persons.
- Threatening behaviour.
